Chapter Seventy-Six: Sun Kisses
Well, I guess you could say your favorite blogger has been a little busy since coming home. Not even a week after returning home, I was heading down south with my two best friends. Rebecca, my best friend's older sister, was getting married at Padre Island. Of course we were already invited, but since Kimberly was the Maid of Honor, that meant we were helping hands, too!
Our home for a week
We stayed in a lovely condo with Kim's parents, Rebecca and her two bridesmaids (Taylor and Maritza), Chris and his daughter, Michael and his family and Kim's little sister. You could say it was a bit of a full house...which made it all the more fun!
Kimberly, Victoria, and I (before the wedding) found time here and there to mess around at the beach. Thankfully, Rebecca was the calmest bride and didn't really require much help at all. We all spent a lot of the time before the wedding having fun!
Beach Babes
The clock continued and before we knew it, it was the BIG DAY! While some parts of the day were more stressful than others, it ended great. The wedding was beautiful (I might have cried). Witnessing the Sacrament of Marriage is always such a blessing...and I'm glad I got to see two wonderful people finally come together in Holy Matrimony.
The reception was wonderfully casual. Everyone seemed to have a great time, alcohol or not. The food was great, the speeches were better (I think we all teared up with Kimmy's sweet Maid of Honor speech), and the smiles were abundant.

Speech! Speech! Speech!
After awhile the wedding party made it's way to the beach to take some gorgeous pictures on the water.

The Squad
It was such a fun, happy time! I wish my absolute best to the new couple...Congratulations!
I returned home a little while later a little tanner and a little more in love with the beach. I returned to work the following weekend to briefly go over what I'll be doing in my training. While I'm looking forward to serving guests, having the proper instruction and guidance is definitely needed for a noob like me! So, if you need me, I'll be practicing my wine pronunciation and how to tie my apron.
In between vacation and work, I've found some free time to spend with Luke. On Friday, we enjoyed some frozen yogurt and good conversation.
Sooo pretty!
Finally, on May 30, Luke and I celebrated our first anniversary together. Ironically, it was the same day as the Tennis banquet/swim party...so I got to celebrate something special with lots of friends. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone (and their tan lines).
Friends + Party
It's so hard to believe that Luke and I have been together for a year already! We had a wonderful celebration and cannot wait to see what's next! Oh, and did I mention he surprised me with flowers??
Roses are White...
No matter what, the days just keep flying by. Goodbye May; Hello June! Summer is almost upon us...
Stay strong, Seniors! It's almost time...
