Chapter Ninety-Two: Exhale

When we're angry or stressed, one of the methods to relieve these tensions is to inhale for 10 seconds, (1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10) and then exhale for 10 seconds (1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10). This roughly takes less than 30 seconds, and yet, we rarely find time. Lately, I've been struggling with time. Granted, I just finished finals as well as my third semester of college, but sometimes, not doing what we love really makes a negative impact. I hope that in the future, I can find more time to sit down and write to the people I love. Maybe this should be my New Years Resolution? Last I left off, it was just before Thanksgiving break. The weekend before I went home, some friends and I had a "Friendsgiving" which consisted of Disney movies, KFC, funnel cakes, and laughter. Chapter Ninety-One: Catchin' Up

Phew! It feels good to sit down in front of my computer to blog again. Sheesh, I am glad midterms are over but golly gosh our third exams and finals are coming up too quick!! I'm so glad Thanksgiving is almost here though...I need to see my family and pet my dog! So, let's dive right in! Where I last left off, Mary and I were headed out to Levelland, TX to staff Raider Awakening 53. This was special for us because It was our first time staffing and We knew a couple of the retreaters (Luke and Kathleen to name a couple!) That weekend was amazing for retreaters and staffers alike. Of course I cannot share too many details so I don't spoil it for future retreaters (I'm looking at you, Bailey, Nikki, Martin...) but it was incredible. New friendships were started and old were rekindled. I really feel like this retreat also made Luke and I even closer as a couple, and I am just so blessed that I retreated last year! Chapter Ninety: Explore

It's just about midterm season, so you can only imagine how busy our roommates and I are. This is obvious upon glancing at our messy rooms: papers strewn everywhere, textbooks scattered on the bed, missing pencils, piles of dirty laundry, Awake chocolate bar wrappers.... It's been a little crazy. Thanksgiving break has never seemed so far away. Despite the business in our lives, we do make our best effort to find some time to relieve stress and have a little fun. Something that is important for all college students, or anyone who is twentysomething really, is the need to define ourselves. We have an intense need to discover who we really are. This takes a lot of alone time, thinking, and, most of all, exploring. Joining organizations, getting out of our comfort zones...these things aid us in discovering who we really are, and who we want to be. This past week was spent doing a lot of exploring... Chapter Eighty-Nine: October Fun...Has Just Begun!

Happy Halloween! Well...not yet....but since it's October, it's basically Halloween. I'm not sure what I'll be for Halloween this year (it's usually a last-minute decision), but no matter what, I'm sure Halloween will be great! In fact, this whole month is packed with exciting events. Before we start with October, though, let's backtrack to the end of September. September 26, 2015 to be exact. This wasn't just any Saturday, no, it was game day. Oh, but not just any game day...Game Day against Texas Christian University. Many students, alumni, and Red Raiders alike felt very strongly about this game. In fact, when Esther and I arrived to the game two hours early, within 30 minutes, the entire student section was full. It was cramped, a little sweaty, but definitely an exciting experience!
