Chapter Forty-Seven: Change
Hooray!! It's Friday!! This week has been crazy and I cannot tell you how great it felt to slide into my desk chair and know I have three days to procrastin-uh, I mean work, work, work! (Are you reading, Mom and Dad??)
This last weekend was pretty fun! We decided to go and visit the mall and "look around" a bit. And by "look around" I mean buy clothes! I haven't been to Forever 21 in years (my home town doesn't have one...or a mall worth going to), so I think I discovered a new favorite store. Cheap and cute!
Other than that and looking at apartments, we study. School is really starting to become more intense...so intense, in fact, that my desk is no longer neat and perfect but crowded and disorganized. I think I've said for the past two weekends that I was going to clean it...but this time for sure!
Monday was a pretty good day. I decided to make Mary and I my specialty...Ramen. Not just boring old Ramen though...Ramen and canned chicken!

A meal truly worth sharing. She complimented me like she was supposed to and we were very satisfied with our lunch. However, making meals does remind me how much I miss having a dishwasher...(and a home cooked meal...)
Anyway, Monday is (you should know this by now) LCG, so we had to take our weekly selfie! This is one of my favorites...the lighting was perfect and I squinted so much my eyes were closed.
Enjoying life...one selfie at a time
Our mentors collected our poorly written resumes this week, and we will hear back on how to make them better next week...this is really exciting because we are really getting good, personal feedback because of our small class size and open atmosphere. I can't wait to hear how to make it better.
Bailey and I patiently waiting for Mary
On Tuesday, we all received very interesting news. I came back from class to see Bailey and Kylie's room looking quite bare and empty. Turns out, our fourth roommate, Kylie, was moving out.
Now don't start coming up with rumors. Nothing bad happened! There was no fist fight or anything dramatic. Apparently, Kylie was on the waiting list for Murray, another residence hall on campus. She was next on the list, so she decided to move over there. I don't blame her, really...Murray is much nicer than Gordon in many ways (private bedrooms, newer building, closer to things on campus, etc.), so we were happy for her. We left on a very good note, and that's what matters. I don't believe I will see her on campus very often at all, but it was nice while she was here.
She moved out within two days. And it didn't take long for Bailey to rearrange the room. Why she did this at 1:30 AM, I am not sure. All I know is that she went to work and it looks absolutely fantastic!
Lights, Camera....sleep
Luckily, Bailey shouldn't be getting a new roommate any time soon...most people do not move in by October... This is good because the upper bunk is a little high.
Still cute, even while squished
You don't want to know how long it took me to get up there. Getting down was even more terrifying.
That's all for now, folks!
